Hi friends,
I have a custom server where I want to host my Next.js project. Can anyone provide guidance on how open-next, vercel splits the functions and how to specifically start only the functions, including SSR, ISR, and Image Optimization?
Thanks in advance!

You don't need open-next if you want to self host the next project on your server

Hi @Ray , I think this is not a optmized solution to build a nextjs app, I want to know how the vercel builds and deploys in an optimized way.
why is it not optimized?
currently, open-next can deploy to aws lambda only
if you want to self host, it is not the right tools

Nextjs build has many .json files and combined with some files. That's why i said it is an unoptimized.
Where vercel split's the static and functions, host the functions in lambda, and static in S3 or CDN
so are you going to self host on your server or deploy it to other serverless platform?
@Torymid wasp Where vercel split's the static and functions, host the functions in lambda, and static in S3 or CDN
because vercel is a serverless platform

i want to deploy in other serverless platform.
Not in AWS, vercel.

Any idea to split it to functions and host it to other serverless platform? @Ray
not sure where you gonna deploy but you can take a look of their source code how they handle it
