Getting over the 100GB traffic allowance on Hobby account by Vercel

What will happen if I select the Vercel's Hobby account option and then suddenly my project will be featured on Hacker News or some popular subreddit and I get over the 100GB monthly traffic limit in say 4 days instead of 30 days - as allowed by the rules. What will happen to my website? Will it go offline on the 4th day or what? Theoretically if each person will download 1MB that traffic is gone after 100_000 unique visitors. That's 25_000 uniques a day. Not so much if your project gets viral. My regular projects get 2000 uniques a day - and those are boring projects without any viral potential. Also we are talking about just 1 project. And you can have more live projects via the Hobby option right?

This is not a Next.js-specific question. Please reach out to Vercel's customer support directly if you want to know more. Details are listed in #vercel-help
Vercel doesn't have a specific discord room
They manage this one
only
The announcement section is Vercel team only.

As I've mentioned. This Discord is not run by Vercel and not about Vercel. All platform-specific discussion occurs on their GitHub discussion board and via Customer Support which I suggested you to contact.

Are you a bot?
Giant panda
I am not.

It's so hard these days to
find people who speak like humans
you sound like a guy on a support line using PhraseExpress or other text expander replies 😭
I am asking
because they
direct you
to using Vercel at the end
of every tutorial or page
and then they want your phone number
At least I haven't been able to finish the
registration
without providing the phone number
Giant panda
It's there to prevent fraud.
A safety precaution.

I get it.
And I will provide it
but I need some
guarantee
they want be asking me 1000 dollars or 5000 dollars if the traffic
or I don't know what else they want me to pay when I reach the limit
based on the phone number

You are ignoring what I said earlier. You have platform-specific questions that customer support will be able to answer.
This is not the right place to ask any of this.
Brown bearOP
finally you got back to your botness
thanks anyway
