Which method is Next.js using to travel over the src directory (e.g. src/app)?

Didn't check their source code, but normally it's just fast-glob or using the file-system API provided by Node.js

And Next.js actually use webpack + SWC, so I don't know how Next.js actually compile your application
So it may not even need to traverse your folders

Yeah only way to know is to check the source code

And none of the people active in this server has done that sufficiently to give an answer here
