Has anyone had any luck linking to a locally built version of Next.JS?

I've gone through the [instructions](https://github.com/vercel/next.js/blob/canary/contributing/core/developing-using-local-app.md#set-as-a-local-dependency-in-packagejson) and if I run Next.JS locally using pnpm dev (as suggested) it gives me a bunch of errors because the dev build does not output any *.d.ts files in the dist dir.

If instead I run pnpm build, it will generate the *.d.ts files in the dist dir, but instead I get the errors:
