I have a next.js site that has been using prisma to comminutcate with the database. However, the app runs on a freebsd server and I have too much problems getting this stack to run. It looks like typeorm and sequelize are possible alternatives, but I have problem finding how to best use them when you have a database already. Any tips or alternatives I should look at?

check if they have introspection commands? If yes then if you run that command it will fetch current schema of the database and generate all the required files

if they don't then you can try any other ORM like [Drizzle Orm](https://orm.drizzle.team)

Prisma don't provide a prebuild binary for freebsd. So I spend a day (as I am not very good with freebsd) compiling the binary and when I finally got it, I had problems getting the environment/nextjs to recognise the self build binary. But thinking about it, I almost got it running, so maybe I should revisit it when I have better time.
